Spring!

This sweet little momma bird was sitting on her nest on our neighbors garage.  I thought two birds

were in there, but zoomed my camera in and noticed one end was her tail.  I love nature!  How awesome that these beautiful creatures know to sit there and protect their eggs.

I'm sharing my card today with a sweet stamp from Sunsational Stamps.  I think its just the cutest.
Now, we have had our share of bats in the house and none of them have been this cute, so there
was a lot of fun imagination that went in to making up this stamp I'm sure.  Thanks Lisa Peters for
the creative little guy. :)

This is actual a 2 stamp set, however I didn't use the phrase on the outside, I put it on the inside.

Shiver Me Timbers

Fun boy card today.  My son which happens to be 22 in July this year will be receiving this card.  Never too old for a fun pirate card.  Alex has a ship tattoo on his arm so I figured he would appreciate this.   Inside the saying is Shiver me Timbers ye be 22 this year.  :)  (Thanks Jessie perfect sentiment)

The map I made by crumbling up paper and spraying it with Black Star Dust Glimmer Spritz which can be found at www.my-besties.com along with a lot of other great colors.

The swept away anchor is a rub-on that I just rubbed on white paper and cut out.

Welcome back.  Today I am showing a new elephant stamp set designed by Lisa Peters.  I just love how she put a fun party hat on her.  Isn't she cute?  

Who hasn't forgotten a birthday or two?  :)  I know I am always late sending out my cards so this is perfect for me.

I made this card with my son.  He was signing up for a Scholarship and they asked for endangered species cards.  Friends could help.  This worked out perfect.  ;0)

I turtley love spring!

 Oh my goodness, woke up this morning and it is snowing here in Kalamazoo Michigan.  I can't believe it. I thought Spring was here to stay and now it seems if winter wants to come back and play.  Hard to believe that I am turning my heat on at the end of April.  Shaking  my head to that.

My card is showing how much I like Spring anyway.  This stamp set comes with this cute girl riding
her pet turtle and the fun sentiment "I turtley love Spring"  I do I do  :)   Come back where ever you are.  :)

I've distressed my paper edges a bit and kept it clean and simple.  Don't you think the image speaks
for itself?  I'm thinking it would look darling on a layout too.

Spring Cleaning

Spring is here and that means it's time to start Spring Cleaning.  We just started at our house this
past weekend, have you? 

I decided to make it fun this time, and use this little bear stamp to add to my list of things to do.
Isn't she darling?  I am a list maker.  Now, I'm not saying I always do what's on my list, but
I love following them, or making them on my own.  This one here here is a freebie that I found
online, so I can't take credit for it, but doesn't it work perfectly with the little cleaning bear?  :)

WIth lots of Love

A couple months ago I was lucky enough to have won this darling boy stamp

from Bugaboo Stamps.   I think it is adorable, reminds me of my boys and their dogs.

I so rarely make boy cards, so wasn't sure where to start, or how to embellish.

I think keeping it simple was the best way to go.

This was such a fun challenge. There is a darling sketch challenge for both a card

and a layout there, so come play along.  If you aren't one for sketches, there is also

For my card, I wasn't exactly a straight stamper, but really liked how it

turned out.  Goes to show you don't have to be a perfect stamper to make

a cute card. :)

Fluttering by to say hi- Fairy card

It's already April 2nd, and I can't believe nobody tried to pull a prank at the house on me yesterday.
yay!  Did you get caught this year?

About a week ago I started on this card, and got it to where I almost felt it was finished, but something
was missing, so I just put it up for a few days until I could think of what it needed.  I ended up putting
the 3 pink flowers on the right, and the little stick pin bow that a friend sent to me.  I also added the
fluttering by to say hi banner.  Just those 3 things, and it really changed the card until I really like
it.  :)  I am not one for embellishing cards, I never can figure out what to put where.  I am super
happy with it this time. Guess it just takes me a while.   Thanks for taking a peak.

The latest card that I made using a My-Besties image by Sherri Ann Baldy. 

I made the color of my paper and flowers using the Color-ology kit.  It is super cool, comes with
pigments, and diamond dust.  I really wish you could see the dazzling sparkle that it makes on my
card.  I've used stickles on my fairy but for some reason it isn't showing either.

The sentiment says "Fluttering by to say hi " I wish I could capture the sparkle on the camera.

 Here is my Project for the hop I was given the Dog Gone Good  stamp set 

I decided to make cupcakes!  Who doesn't love a yummy cupcake?  My family loved these cute little

dog images as toppers.  They were so much fun to color up.  they are held in place by clear plastic 

acetate.  I hot glued each one to the acetate so they stick straight up.  :0) Fun and easy.  Would be

a great project for a group of kids for a party.

Of course, I also made a card, since I am addicted to stamping and card making.

Clean and simple for my card today.  I love this psx stamp that I found at a garage sale for just a quarter.  Can you believe someone was getting rid of their goodies so cheaply?  yay for me!  :)
I've also used a Stampin up stamp "thank you" that I found at a different garage sale over the summer.  So  a big thank you to all of you who sell your used stamps at great prices.  I appreciate it.

I ran across this flower challenge over at The Paper Players.  My card is a copy of one of their designers, Leanne.  You can see her beautiful card right there at the blog.  It is gorgeous.

Plant sitter

Good morning  friends!   While shopping the other day, I saw this lovely African violet and knew

I had to have it.  My grandma always had one in the house, and it reminds me of her.  Gram was my

best friend.  I was very fortunate to have been so close to her.  :)  

For my project, I've used this beautiful purple plant, and this darling stamp to make  little plant sitter.

I thought it was so cute.  It will be nice to keep on my desk, remind me of my gram, and give me

an extra smile throughout the day.

I made a card (kind of)  I photoshopped one, with a photo of my plant.  I tried to print it out, but either my printer printed it out blue instead of purple, so it shall stay an Ecard.

Happy Heart

Good morning!  Looks like the start of a beautiful day here in southwest Michigan.  The snow is almost all gone, and the sun is out shining brightly.  YAY!!!  Spring is coming, Spring is coming.

My card today is using Happy Heart from Scrapbook Stamp Society.  All of Sherri Baldy's image give me a smile and a happy heart so this one is fitting of its name.  I love her little pig tails, or maybe they are called pony tails?  What is it called if there are 2?  I'm not really sure.  :)

It's almost Spring!

I'm feeling Spring!  With all of the green challenges going on today, I thought I would make a card

and enter a few.  The sun was out today and melting our snow.  Soon I hope it will all be gone, and 

my tulips will be peaking their heads out.  

I couldn't wait to color one of the new fairy images by Sherri Baldy. I realized after I had my image all colored up, that I didn't have any papers to go with it, so I made my own with the markers that I used to color her. Happy Spring

Super excited to say I've experienced my first taste of spring on Monday of this week. Yay!  I
can feel it getting closer.  The snow is starting to melt, puddles are in the street.  The sun actually
was bright enough to keep me warm while I was outside.  Oh yea, Spring is coming!
