Mini album cover page

I wanted to try something a bit different.  Usually its a card for me, but this time its a mini album.  I have to admit, after making the first page, I'm stuck.  However, I really like this cover page, and will add to the
inside when I can think of just the right thing.  Why rush a masterpiece? ha ha ha

All of the pieces you see here were given to me by Anne Luper (thank you Anne)
The background paper is really just one piece of paper that had all those patterns on it.
I am terrible at mixing patterned papers and NEVER would have thought these
three would love good together.  So I really really love how it turned out.

Vacationing! Mackinaw City

Soo...  I decided to do one of those online contests, where you take a photo of a place in your state and why you enjoy it, and I won!!!   The travel bureau sent me 2 overnight stays for Mackinaw City, and a round trip to beaver island.  We didnt do beaver island, but did go to Mackinaw City.

Here are some photos from our trip.
Mackinac Bridge, hubby looking through the telescope thingy, and parasailers.
Why didn't we do that? LOL Cuz we would be screaming our fool heads off !  lol

DT post for Linnie Blooms

Have you tried working with canvas on your scrapbook pages, cards, or tags?  It is a lot of fun, and so
many options to try.  They come already cut into perfect shapes.   Here are my first 2 projects using canvas pieces from www.linnieblooms.com

My first project is a card.  I thought these pocket canvas pieces were perfect for a boys card.  My son's loved
frogs so thats the idea of what came to my mind to put inside the pocket. For my canvas piece I put a sticker of the letter
D to personalize the card for my son Dale.  I then colored the canvas with a blue marker, and peeled the sticker off afterwards.
Get your pocket canvas pieces and more at:http://lindabarutha.com/shop/

My second project is a butterfly tag.  I used the butterfly canvas piece from Linnie Blooms.
You can find the butterfly pieces here at this link: http://lindabarutha.com/shop/

Swap to Hop Blog Hop July 13 ends Sunday night

Welcome to our Swap Hop. Stop by any time between Friday morning and Sunday night at 11:45 pm to see some fabulous projects and have a chance to win some prizes.

First I would like to thank Christel for organizing this swap and the hop. It was such fun. Second I would like to thank Jessica Baker for allowing me to use her Art Nouveau sea horse paper piecing.
All of the girls made such cute paper piecings, I would love to make a project with them all and show them but I just didn't have enough time.  However I did get a few extras done.
