It's a brand new challenge over at Whimsical Designs.  Come join us, you have a full week to get your card or scrapbook page entered.  The challenge this week is "Use your favorite colors" in any card or scrapbook page.  The prize is a $15 gc to The Paper Parade.  How awesome is that?

Here is my project for the challenge.  These papers were so pretty, the card came together really fast.
Its one of my favorites.  I cut a few extra hearts out in each of the papers and covered them with stickles.  My stamps are all from Whimsical Designs.

I made a shaped card by printing out my image large on a piece of brown paper, and a piece of white paper. I only had to color in the handkerchief this way and the tongue.  I used glossy accents on the nose and tongue.  I folded a piece of black paper in half then just cut all the way around my image exept for the top to make my card.

Angel/Fairy card

Good morning!  I have been in the card making mood lately.  I colored this little Bestie fairy up about a week ago, but wasn't sure what I was going to do with her at that time. I just loved her and knew I wanted to color her.  :)    I went back and forth whether I wanted to put it with pink or blue.   Finally

decided on the blue.

I'm embellishment challenged.. any suggestions?

Embellishment Challenged, its no secret..  I have said it before and I'll say it again.  I am so intimidated
by adding embellishments.  I see all of the beautiful cards online with gorgeous embellishments placed
all over them, yet when it comes to doing it myself, I freak out!

While I can see that my card below needs something, I just don't know what to do,  Any suggestions???   Thanks for taking a peak at my card.

It's Whimsical Wednesday! That means a brand new and exciting Challenge

It's Whimsical Wednesday!!!  YAY!  

This is my very first post for being on my new DT at Whimsical Designs .  I can't tell you how 

excited I am to be accepted onto Stephanie's team.  She has a fantastic sentiment stamp line, that

works for every card occasion.

I also have to say that I am on a team with a great bunch of girls. I can't wait to be friends with each

and every one of them.

uh-oh!  I may have missed the mark on this challenge.  I've never created anything vintage 

before, so I took a chance.. and while it may not really be vintage, it's the closest to vintage that I have ever come.  That's gotta count for something right?  LOL

I love the way it came out, and this card was so easy to make.

Book of the month Challenge! Win Copic markers!

Exciting, Whimsical News! Bookworms... This Is For You!

Whimsical Designs is starting a book of the month challenge!

...A book club?! For crafters?! Are we going to be reading craft books? Nope! We're going to be reading regular novels and creating projects inspired by what we read!

For those of you who love to read and craft, this monthly challenge is for you! 

Here's how it will work:

- The first Monday of each month we will announce the book we are reading for the month and what the prize is for that challenge

- You will have the entire month to read the selected book

- You will then create any type of crafty project inspired by the book or a certain part of the book

This month, we are reading "Alex Cross, Run" by James Patterson:

On July 1st, the new book we will be reading for July will be announced, DT inspiration projects will be posted, and a linky will be included so you can upload your book project for "Alex Cross, Run." You'll have two weeks to link up your project, and then a random winner will be chosen.

This month our prize is $50 worth of Copic markers! The winner chooses the colors.

Exciting, right?! It's always exciting to start something fun and new. We do want to hear from you, though!
